Alpha 1 is proud to be taking part in Purple Tuesday, supporting the international effort to improve customer experience for disabled people.
We’ve spent some time improving the accessibility of our website, and are pleased to announce that we have achieved scores of 98% Accessible on Google Lighthouse for more than 20 of our top pages. Our blog pages are all at 91%. Currently the lowest scoring page we know of still achieves 88%. And we are committed to getting all of our pages well over the 90% mark in 2020.
Further we’re going to seek opportunities to improve the customer experience for disabled people at the locations we serve. And we’re currently working on additions to our training programmes so our staff are best prepared to assist people with disabilities.
We recognise that the purple pound is an important part of the economy, but also we believe in equal opportunities, and that disabled people have just as much to offer the work force.
