Nepal is in a state of emergency as a result from Saturday’s earthquake. Extensive damage has been done, and the death toll has reached over 3000. Our corporate partner, The Gurkha Welfare Trust, is currently responding to the disaster. They are making facilities available around the country to citizens in need. Their centres in Gorhka and Lamjung have experienced structural damage; however, all the staff is doing well and are safe.
As a corporate partner, our hearts go out to The GWT and all those affected by this disaster, and we want to support them in anyway possible. The GWT has set up an earthquake response fund in order to assist the Gurkha beneficiaries, their families and communities.
